Private Commissions

These also comprise a key aspect of Barry's expertise. He has undertaken work for numerous clients including HRH King Charles and Queen Camilla, creating a sculpture celebrating their marriage in 2005 which was installed at their Birkhall residence. He also has a longstanding working relationship with Glenmorangie, and in 2012 was commissioned to create a large-scale sculpture commemorating the opening of their Livingston bottling plant.

Birkhall Marriage Stone

Carved from a 2.2 tonne block of Corrennie pink granite, this sculpture celebrates the marriage of King Charles to Queen Camilla and is installed in their Highland home at Birkhall estate near Balmoral.

Glenmorangie

This was one of Barry's largest work to date, weighing over 25 tonnes and taking around 2 years to complete. The sculpture, titled 'Reveal', depicts the spiral panel Glenmorangie use as their logo (adopted from the Hilton of Cadboll Pictish stone reconstruction) being unveiled as leaves are blown away.

Private Chapel, Highgrove Estate

Barry was commissioned by HRH King Charles to carve lettering (Pictish Insular majuscules) into the limestone lintel of a small private chapel in the grounds of Highgrove estate, Gloucestershire.

Tarbatness Museum. 25th Anniversary stone

This sculpture marks the 25th anniversary of Tarbatness museum, Portmahomack. Barry designed this around the iconic 'Dragon Stone'; a stunning Pictish carving on display inside the museum.
